My new favorite spice is Hot Hungarian Paprika. It is very versatile spice adding a subtle heat with a good flavor. My favorite is to brown mushrooms with butter and HHP and add it to an omelette with cheddar cheese. Friggin' delicious. I add it to the indian food I attempt to cook, pinto beans for tacos and nachos, and in my flour covering for fried fish or french fries. Give it a try, I picked up mine at Jenifer Street Market.

I tried to fancy up some white cheddar mac and cheese from a box with tomatoes, regular paprika, and peas the other day. Is this HHP versatile enough for mac and cheese? On a scale of 1 to 10 how hot is it?
TO establish the scale, I would say that black pepper is about a 3 and regular paprika is a 2 and habinaros are a ten. This spice really sits at a 5. Just enough to know its there, you might just try a little on one bit at first.
